You can take CentreStage at town hall

The Victor Harbor Town Hall was once again witness to a wonderful cabaret-style amateur vocal performance evening on Sunday, August 12, hosted by CentreStage.

Forty-two performers, 11 of whom were first-timers and six of whom haven’t missed the last six events, wowed the audience of almost 200 with renditions of hits from Broadway Musicals such as Hamilton, Company, Waitress, Hairspray, Chicago and many more.

CentreStage – Broadway is a musical theatre vocal performance night which provides an opportunity for performers, irrespective of age, gender or background, to showcase their talent by singing a piece from the musical theatre genre.

Performers are backed by an in-house three-piece band.

The evenings are themed by musical, or composer, or sub-genre.

CentreStage – Broadway is held on the second Sunday of each month at the Victor Harbor Town Hall.

The next CentreStage event is on Sunday, September 9. This month's theme is Rock Musicals.

Expect to hear hits from Musicals such as Heathers, Jesus Christ Superstar, Kinky Boots, Little Shop of Horrors, Rent, Spring Awakening and The Rocky Horror Show.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Enjoy a cabaret setting.
