The Flourishing on the Fleurieu Festival will return this September boasting over 100 activities right across the Fleurieu.
After its absence in 2017 the biannual Flourishing on the Fleurieu Festival will return to a number of locations including the Victor Harbor, Alexandrina, Yankalilla and Kangaroo Island areas.
Held from September 23 – 29, the festival promotes health and wellbeing and hopes to facilitate social connection for older members of the community.
The 2018 emphasis is on ‘exploring possibilities’ by getting involved in your local community.
Over the course of the week, 43 separate groups such as the Alexandrina Council, Strathalbyn Tennis CLub, Fleurieu Aquatic Centre, University of the Third Age, Victor Harbor Senior Citizens Club Inc and many more will offer a range of activities including 'Open Mic Poetry', 'Come and Try Social Tennis', 'Expressive Art', 'Square Dancing', 'Iphones? More than just a Phone', 'Scones Anyone? 'Devonshire Tea and Live Jazz Band' and even an 'Exhibitions of Collectables'.
