New temporary management of black bream in the Lakes and Coorong for both commercial and recreational fishers came into effect on September 1.

The three-month closure, until November 30, will offer protection during critical breeding season with the fish not to be targeted and nets not being used within 300 metres of lakes barrages. Failure to comply can result in a maximum fine of up to $20,000. For more information visit www.pirsa.gov.au/fishing or check the free SA Rec Fishing App.
