The Southern Expressway will soon have permanent rock-throwing screens

The State Government has announced that $15 million will be allocated to the Southern Expressway in the 2018/19 State budget to help combat rock-throwing.

Included in the funding is permanent screens for 10 bridges along the expressway, upgrades to security cameras and improved fencing to limit access to rocks.

Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government Stephan Knoll said the safety of South Australians is the Marshall Government’s absolute priority.
