Southern teen arrested for rock throwing on Expressway

A teenager from the southern suburbs of Adelaide has spent his birthday in custody following his arrest for rock throwing on the Southern Expressway after a member of the public witnessed the event.

On Thursday, September 13 at 9:10am the teenager was seen throwing objects from the Honeypot Road bridge on to the Southern Expressway. 

The member of the public who witnessed the event managed to follow the teenager and obtain an accurate description of him and the direction he was heading.

This then enabled police to begin an investigation which led police to a home in Huntfield Heights where they arrested the 15-year-old teenager.

He was charged with two counts of aggravated acts to endanger life and two counts of throw prescribed object.

He was refused bail and appeared in the Christies Beach Youth Court yesterday where he was remanded to reappear in the Adelaide Youth Court today.
