A function at the Hotel Grosvenor on Friday, September 14, raised $2800 for the Encounter Centre.
Guests at the fundraising luncheon included the South Australian Deputy Premier Vickie Chapman and Member for Finniss David Basham.
The Encounter Centre is located on Armstrong Road in Victor Harbor and provides facilities, activities and programs for people living with a disability in the Fleurieu community.
The support from the fundraiser will enable services to be provided to meet the needs of participants at the Encounter Centre.
At the luncheon organisers Rob Heaslip, Andrew Hill and Derek McIlroy had raffles and auction items to raise funds and a percentage of the takings from the meals went to the Encounter Centre.
There was a question and answer time, as well as a chance to network with fellow business leaders in the region and meet the Deputy Premier, the Member for Finniss and the newly preselected Liberal candidate for Mayo for the 2019 Federal election Georgina Downer.
“It was very successful and we thank the Deputy Premier for attending this event,” Rob Heaslip said.
