All the fun of the Big Day Out will be brought to the Hotel Victor later this month.

From its very first outing in Sydney in 1992 through to Pearl Jam’s last chords ringing out across Joondalup in 2014, the Big Day Out festival was a rite of passage for Aussie music lovers for over 20 years.

Now, hot on the heels of their acclaimed Guns N’ Roses – Live at the Ritz show, TRS Entertainment presents The Red Skull’s Big Night Out – The Best of the Big Day Out 1992-2014.

This new two-hour show features all the best tunes, memories and moments from the much-loved music festival.

In addition to all the energy and enthusiasm the Adelaide rockers have become known for, audiences for The Red Skull’s Big Night Out can expect to hear iconic songs from the big guns – Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Killers – as well as a special set showcasing the best of the Aussie BDO bands.

In order to provide the complete authentic Big Day Out experience, The Red Skull is joined by a DJ and other live performers to bring back The Boiler Room.

The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Fat Boy Slim, and New Order will all be spun on the decks.

Grab a few mates, throw on your Vans, 501s and that dope Beastie tee, and get ready for an epic Big Night Out at the Hotel Victor on October 27.

Making Mozart

‘Mazing Mozart – the da Ponte Project’ is a funny, musically outstanding performance packed with Mozart’s famous arias and duets.

Held at Centenary Hall in Goolwa at 7.30pm on October 13, three internationally-experienced opera singers will be performing on the South Coast for an evening of fully-costumed Mozart fun.

‘Making Mozart’ takes place in Mozart’s studio where he receives a visitor: Lorenzo da Ponte, and ex-priest, poet and librettist. The two recreate the conversations that led to the operas written by the great librettist.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for concession, available at or the Goolwa Visitor Information Centre, or by calling 1300 466 592.
