Four drivers caught under influence of meth in four days

Police have caught four motorists driving while under the influence of meth in four days on the Fleurieu.

About 9am on September 28, Hills Police stopped a 20-year-old Strathalbyn woman at West Tce, Strathalbyn in relation to drug driving. Police will allege the woman returned a positive oral fluid analysis for methamphetamine. Pending forensic results, she will be reported for drug driving at a later date.

Police stopped and tested a 35-year-old Strathalbyn man on Main South Rd, Yankalilla about 11.20am on September 29. He allegedly returned a positive result for methamphetamine. Depending on forensic results, he will be reported for drug driving at a later date. The man was issued a direction not to drive.

On September 30, at about 2.06am, police submitted a 45-year-old man from Hayborough man to a roadside drug test at Gawler St, Mount Barker. He allegedly returned a positive result for methamphetamine and was issued a direction not to drive for 24 hours. Pending forensic analysis, he will be reported for this offence at a later date.

About 7.25am on October 1, police stopped a 48-year-old Strathalbyn man in relation to drug driving at Dawson St, Strathalbyn. It is alleged that the man returned a positive result for methamphetamine. The man’s vehicle was impounded and the driver was issued a direction not to drive for 24 hours. Pending forensic results, he will be reported for drug driving at a later date.
