If you have wanted to know what the Country Fire Service (CFS) is all about, Hindmarsh Valley brigade is giving you the chance to learn.
The brigade will be hosting an open day for the community at their headquarters at Lower Inman Valley on Saturday, October 20.
Victor Group captain Chris Sedunary said from 11am to 2pm, members of the public can learn about volunteering opportunities, as well as how they can prepare for the upcoming fire danger season.
“We are holding a Brigade Open Day which will allow anyone from the community to come and see who we are and what we do as a volunteer emergency service,” Chris said.
“There will also be information on how people can prepare their homes for the upcoming fire season to help reduce the risk of being impacted by bushfires.”
A free barbecue will also be cooked up on the day.
The brigade’s headquarters is on Watson Road at Lower Inman Valley.
