Euro star Sandra Pires will perform in Mount Compass for the first instalment of the Supper Club of 2019.

Held at the War Memorial Community Centre on Friday, January 4, the polished European star will perform from 8pm to 11pm.

Local music legend Quentin Eyers organised this show with his old friend Pires, who is returning briefly to Australia after 25 years in Europe.

She is a versatile and successful performer, and at this show she will perform with Quentin a range of favourite hit rock, Motown, jazz and classic stage musical songs and some of Sandra's major European hits.

At 15 she won one of Australia’s biggest music competitions, which led to working with saxophone great Erill Budell, who worked with Frank Sinatra, Billie Holliday and Nat King Cole. The next few years were full of concerts, TV appearances and more.

In 1992 she decided to move to Europe permanently and it’s where she has worked ever since - her home is currently Vienna in Austria.

Hit albums and fame followed, working with the London Symphony Orchestra, The Vienna State Opera, Beat4feet, MG Sound Studios, and a successful film and stage career. In 1999 Sandra was chosen to perform solo in a live televised concert at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate Concert to usher in the new Millennium for Germany and Europe.

This year Pires wrote and recorded Top of the World - the Official Song of the 2018 UCI World Road Cycling Championship.

After the hectic pace of Christmas and New Year’s festivities, this show is the opportunity to relax and kick back with friends and family with a stylish star.

The licensed bar opens at 7pm for pre-show drinks. Cheese & Fruit Platters will be available (pre-orders advisable), at great value with generous portions of quality cheeses. Two sizes are available. Volunteers will bake delicious cakes.

Tickets are $25, available at the Mount Compass Post Office or at www.ticketebo.com.au/mcsupperclub
