The team at Professionals Victor Harbor are giving back this Christmas season, and are encouraging locals to do the same.

The team are helping the Salvation Army in their Christmas Appeal, to collect gifts for Christmas to help local families who are less fortunate.

Christmas is a time of giving and sharing, so if you would like to take the opportunity to donate items, the team at Professionals encourage you to do so.

If you would like to place a donation under the Christmas tree head to 11 Ocean Street, Victor Harbor.

Gifts and donations can range from toys to groceries.

When donating food gifts ensure where appropriate items have a long expiry date and are non perishable and “think Christmas”, people will receive these items as gifts so buy brand names where possible.

Pack grocery items into a washing basket, reusable shopping bag or laundry bucket to be reused by the recipient.

When donating toys only donate new items, gift vouchers make ideal gifts for teenagers and consider older age groups when donating gifts. Leave items unwrapped to allow parents the dignity of choosing gifts for their children.

Gift ideas include: gift cards, beach towels, sunglasses, sporting goods, camping equipment, books, stationary, jewelry, cosmetics. puddings, mince pies, food staples, toiletries, meal kits, chocolates, lollies, cereal, baby food, cleaning products, tea, coffee, long-life milk or juices and more
