A 30-year-old man has been arrested after several grass fires were lit in Seaford Meadows on December 27.
Just after 6 pm, police and fire crews were called to Sauerbriers Road following reports of smoke coming from the area.
Upon arrival police allegedly located three grass fires burning.
The first fire caused little damage, however the second fire burnt through around 200 square metres and the third burnt approximately one hectare of grass and shrubs.
After investigating the fires, police found and arrested a 30-year-old man of no fixed address.
He is due to face court today, Friday, December 28.
Total fire bans are in place across the state today and police will be out in force at bush fire prone areas to enforce these bans.
