The SeaQueens drag show returns to Victor Harbor this month for the seventh year running.

Presented by The Southern Sisters, the event takes place at The Victor Harbor Town Hall on Saturday January 12, with doors opening at 7pm for a 7.30 show.

The Southern Sisters queens have performed across Australia and the world but said they are particularly looking forward to returning to the Victor Harbor Town Hall as a troupe for the seventh year in a row.

Troupe coordinator, Andrew Bassi was recently named “The famed Kristina International” by SA Life and has been a feature performer in show seasons at The MGM, Macau and for Brunei royalty. In recent years he has toured independently to perform at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and spent a month in Paris last year.

Taking to the stage alongside Kristina will be “drag artiste extraordinaire” (The Advertiser) and cabaret queen, Miss Molly; Cherry Poppins, who is well known as one of the resident drag queens at The Mars Bar throughout it’s final years; the otherworldly, but down to earth Ali Holic; and larger than life Mistress of Ceremonies, Rita Demore’e.

The Sisters are also excited to be joined by special Melbourne guest and live singer, reigning Miss Gay Australia International Esther Rix, to perform and promote Miss Gay & Miss Transsexual Australia International, before Kristina competes as a 2019 pageant finalist in February.

Each of the Southern Sisters is set to bring glamour, comedy, dance and drama. The show will be composed of iconic solo acts, some camp duets and acts coming together as a group, all linked by Rita’s innate charm and wit and some audience participation and prizes to be won as something extra to look forward to.

Victor Harbors’ resident lighting and sound technician, Roxy will once again help give the night that extra magic by shining the queens in their best light.

The event is alcohol free, but guests are encouraged to enjoy a drink at The Grosvenor Hotel before the show and during the intermission. All tickets are $25 and are available at The Grosvenor Hotel, The White Rabbit Adult Boutique and Tudor Homeware or through TryBooking,
