Hills Fleurieu traffic offences

Hills Fleurieu Police conducted extensive traffic operations over the weekend, with the following being some of the criminal matters recorded. 

At 11.15am on Friday 4 January, a Mitsubishi Magna was stolen from a residence on Hurling Drive, Mount Barker. Police stopped the car in Aston Hills and a 38-year-old Mount Barker woman was arrested and charged with illegal use, theft and drive unlicensed. She also tested positive to methamphetamine. She was bailed to appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court on 13 February.

In the early hours of Sunday 6 January, police detected a car travelling at 113 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Upper Sturt Road, Upper Sturt. The driver, a 40-year-old Flagstaff Hill woman, was issued with an expiation notice and a six month immediate loss of licence.

Also on Sunday morning, police patrols stopped a vehicle in Gawler Street, Mount Barker.  The driver, a 30-year-old Meadows man, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.170.  He was reported for drink driving and issued with a 12 month instant loss of licence.  His vehicle was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in court.
