Goolwa Regatta Week is very proudly organised by the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club (GRYC).

It has conducted the iconic Milang Goolwa Freshwater Classic since 1974 and expanded the program of events when it launched the Goolwa Regatta Week in 2012, with strong community support.

The highlight of the week, 2019 Milang Goolwa Freshwater Classic yacht race, will be held on Sunday, January 27.

2019 Goolwa Regatta Week will include events on and off the water from Saturday, January 19 to Sunday, January 27.

The Goolwa Regatta Week will provide lots of reasons for yacht racers, casual sailors, families, friends and holiday-makers to spend the week in this beautiful part of the world.

The iconic race, 50 kilometres from Milang across Lake Alexandrina to Point Sturt and down the River Murray past Clayton to the river port of Goolwa.

The Classic is sponsored by Finniss River Vineyards and Coorong Quays On Hindmarsh Island.

There are many excellent public viewing points at Milang, Point Sturt, Clayton town cliffs and along the river sides on Liverpool Road, or from Hindmarsh Island.

During Regatta Week, the ultimate challenge is the Dash For Cash event on Friday, January 25.

It is spectacular racing with no quarter given, as some of Australia’s finest yachtsmen swing into action. The event is yachting’s answer to Twenty/20 cricket.
