No one seemed to mind the few raindrops that sprinkled the Signal Point deck and lawns near the end of the At The Wharf event on Friday, January 25.
The free community event At The Wharf was presented by Cittaslow Goolwa and lawns and attracted a large crowd, notwithstanding the threatening rain-clouds.
This edition of At The Wharf provided a great beginning to the Australia Day weekend in Goolwa, a weekend that saw a wide range of music, not only in the Wharf Precinct but right across Goolwa.
Local band Matt and the Maniacs were well received, particularly by the energetic dancers who filled the Signal Point deck.
Food was made by Cittaslow Paella, Haloumi and Coorong Mullet Burgers by the Hungry Caterpillar, and a wide range of tasty treats from Clark Street catering.
Fine wine from Bleasdale and other Langhorne Creek wineries were available, as were Coopers and Meechi beers and soft drinks.
At The Wharf is an increasingly popular event that provides fun for all the family, a great way to relax at the end of the week, or as in this case, to recover from the record heat of Thursday and relax in a much cooler environment.
The next At The Wharf at the Signal Point lawns and deck will be held on Friday, February 22 with a new band, Smile Pepper, consisting of members of Cherry Grind and Five Against One.
It promises to be another great night at the wharf.
