Hit a birdie and raise funds for life-limited children's beach house

A fund raising golf day will be held at the Victor Harbor Golf Club on Friday March 1 and it's all in the name of children. The event is a major fund raiser for the Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation's Beach House that is currently being built on Central Drive, Encounter Lakes at Victor Harbor. The house which is expected to be completed in early May, will be a special place where children with life-limiting illnesses can relax with their families as they create happy, lasting memories together.

When completed the house will include all the equipment, disability support tools and resources needed with provisions for meals, access to the local area, tourism activities and medical assistance. The beach house is situated close to the South Coast District Hospital should medical support be required.

Olivia Knott, in conjunction with South Coast Realty the appointed house managers for the Beach House project, said the golf day has been generously supported by numerous local businesses and trades people. “Many teams and keen golfers have already registered for this important fundraiser as there's great prizes to be won on the day including, a car for a 'hole in one'. It will be a fun day with an auction to be held after the golf tournament and all in aid of a very worthwhile cause,” Olivia said.

The cost to enter a team of four players is $340 or $85 per person. For more information visit www.trybooking.com/390950.
