Goolwa league netballer Lisa Whiteley made her debut in the AFL Women's competition on Sunday, March 10 in a tough match at Unley Oval.
Whiteley took to the field for Greater Western Sydney (GWS) Giants in her team's clash against Adelaide.
She had a quiet day in terms of disposals, managing two touches plus a tackle, but her hard work as a defender did not show in statistics.
Goolwa Netball Club posted on its Facebook page that Whiteley making her debut was a "proud moment".
She is one of a handful of South Adelaide players who have been picked up by clubs around the country.
Also making her debut on Sunday - but for the Crows - was fellow South Adelaide player Nikki Gore. She notched up seven disposals, one mark, and one tackle.
Whiteley was drafted by GWS at pick 52 this year, while Gore was drafted by the Crows at pick eight.
