Double arrest at Aldinga Beach

Around 5am on Tuesday, April 9, police followed up a report from a member of the public who sighted two people with torches at an under construction home on the Esplanade at Aldinga Beach.

Upon arrival police located a woman who was equipped with a torch and tools, around the same time police sighted a man who jumped a fence in an attempt to escape but was quickly found by another patrol. The 39-year-old man and 40-year-old woman were both arrested and charged with being on premises for an unlawful purpose and going equipped to commit an offence. The duo were found in possession of spanners, screwdrivers, files and torches.

Both will be bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates court at a later date. Police have since released information which showed 13 break-ins had been reported in the Vales over one week.
