Marina waters blessed by Rev

Delighted to open the waterway to the final lagoon in the Quays Marina, the Reverend Alan Jones reflected on his being the first skipper through each lagoon over the many stages of development on the marina at Hindmarsh Island.

Rev Jones took to the water with Alan Edwards and Stormie the dog on Friday, April 12 to conduct a 'Blessing of the Waters', something he has done at every new lagoon in the marina on the island.

Along with being a local identity, Alan is a Rotarian, founding member of the Goolwa Tidy Towns Group, a former councillor, and former minister of the Uniting Church at Port Elliot.

Alan has seen the growth of the marina over many years and is happy to see the recent new entry to the housing area, and the making of the road around the whole area.

He congratulated the Quays Marina's management on their forward plans to this remarkable development.
