Tiny Tails Rescue will hold another Adoption Day at the Wet and Wild Petz Centre on Saturday April 27 from 10am to 2pm.
The demand for rescue has been so great, that the group still has a number of cats and kittens looking for loving homes. Tiny Tails said they have been delighted with adoption rates to date, and hope to help more animals in need.
Since its inception five years ago, Tiny Tails has found wonderful homes for 985 felines, many of which would not have had a life at all if not rescued and then adopted.
The group receives phone calls daily asking for help with unwanted or abandoned kittens and cats, and sadly cannot take any more until those already in care are rehomed.
Currently, two special needs kittens are looking for loving indoor homes. They are bonded so it would be great if they could find a home together. Max is a Russian Blue cross about seven months of age and his constant shadow is Cleo, a little tabby manx cross with a bob tail, aged 4.5 months.
These kittens were saved from a situation where they had little human contact so can be quite shy and will need to be given time to settle in. They will not be at the Adoption Day as it is too stressful for them however they are in foster care in Victor Harbor. Max is the quieter of the two, shy but loves to be cuddled, Cleo is very playful and cheeky however relies on Max to look after her. Their adoption fee will be discounted if the right home can be found.
Many other cats and kittens will be available at the Adoption Day on Saturday.
All felines are desexed, micro chipped and had their first vaccination at the time of adoption. They also receive regular parasite treatment while in foster care. In many cases the kittens have also had their second vaccination.
If you are thinking of adding to your fur family please come along, all animals have been given a second chance and the Tiny Tails team would love to find homes for them.
Take a look at the groups Facebook page to see all the cats and kittens currently available.
