Vilna Caterina has had one simply amazing catch, just in time for Mother's Day.
Out fishing with a friend off Encounter Bay, she snagged her first ever crayfish; a feat she had yet to achieve in over 45 years of recreational fishing.
What made the catch even more spectacular, was that she reeled in the 2.5kg cray in on a fishing line, while angling for whiting with her trusty rod and reel.
At first Vilna believed she had snagged some weed or coral, because her line wasn't pulling like a fish, but as she dragged the catch to the surface, she was in for a surprise.
The cray was successfully netted and Vilna was overjoyed with her one in a million catch.
Over the weekend she shared some beautiful crayfish dishes among family and friends.
Have you had an outstanding catch or strange encounter at sea? We'd love to hear all about it.
