On Sunday, May 11, police stopped a vehicle on Adelaide Road, Mt Barker, upon testing it is alleged the driver, a 28-year-old man from Aldinga Beach, was found to be under the influence of methamphetamines.
Pending forensic results, he was reported and attend the Mt Barker Magistrates Court. The man was also issued with an expiation notice for driving unregistered.
In the same vehicle a 25-year-old woman was allegedly found in possession of three ice pipes and as a result will face the Mt Barker Magistrates Court. Another passenger in the vehicle, a 22-year-old man from Aldinga Beach was issued with an expiation notice for aiding/abeting the driving of an unregistered vehicle.
The Road Traffic Act of 1961 states that it is an offence to drive or attempt to drive a motor vehicle with Methylamphetamine in a person's blood or oral fluid.
