What a round of football. The Roosters shocked the competition by defeating Mount Compass and the loss knocked the Dogs from top spot. Victor Harbor are now the team on top after they downed Yankalilla.
Encounter Bay proved too strong for Goolwa/Port Elliot in their Indigenous round of footy, McLaren spanked Myponga/Sellicks and Willunga accounted for Langhorne Creek.
Round seven will show if Victor deserve to be on top of the ladder as they meet McLaren. The Roos are well served by Dowling, Ben Basham and Weetra , while McLaren has Wakefield kicking goals and the Mathews boys leaving all opposition in their wake.
Kiss Of Death - McLaren by 12 points.
Encounter Bay take on Myponga/Sellicks and the Bays are building. Great to see young Oakley Johnson playing good A grade football. It was only last year he won the junior colts Mail Medal. Kiss Of Death - Encounter Bay by 58 points.
Mount Compass host Langhorne Creek. Sellar against Hoban. What a duel and Perrey against Copestick. The Hawk defence will struggle to contain Pinyon and Ziggy Vitkunas. Kiss Of Death - Mount Compass by 16 points.
Yankalilla need to bounce back, as they take on the giant killing Roosters. Great to see Tom McNamara hitting form and Marc Elliott among the goals for Strath. The Tigers need Jono Lee back in the team to give Gotch first use of the ball. Kiss Of Death - Strathalbyn by 3 points.
Willunga meet Goolwa/Port Elliot and the Demons are firing. They will be too big for the Magpie youngsters and Miegel is outstanding around the ground and goals. Kiss Of Death - Willunga by 49 points.

Special presentation at Bay
On Sunday, June 2, the Encounter Bay Football Club will have a very unique event to celebrate. In 1921, the club's very first captain was Bert Hutton. In 1926 he was awarded the equivalent of today's Mail Medal. Bert's daughter Anne Renfrey has recently come in to possession of Bert's medal from relatives in Western Australia and has decided the medal's rightful place is at the Encounter Bay Football Club.
The club will receive the medal from Anne and family on June 2. The club will hold a special afternoon tea at 2.30pm. Life Members of the Encounter Bay Football Club and any descendants of Bert's family and any other interested parties are welcome to attend to commemorate the occasion.
If you're able to attend, contact Dick Littlely on 0429 899 710 or 8554 5236. The timing of this presentation of the club's history will also coincide with the club's planned Centenary Celebrations in two years time.
