Two hundred entries are expected at the Fleurieu Poultry Club autumn show at the Port Elliot Showgrounds this Sunday.
This is the club's first show of the year, after a successful poultry sale at the end of March at Uraidla.
Exhibitors are attendingfrom all over the state including Strathalbyn, Murray Bridge, Adelaide, Adelaide Hills and south coast.
Judging begins at 10am, and the winning birds will be on display for the public from about 12noon to 2pm. There is no entry fee for the public.
It it a great opportunity for the public to check out the many purebred poultry available and meet up with poultry breeders and exhibitors to get advice and information.
The club will be holding their next event, the annual show, on June 30, followed by a poultry sale on August 11.
Of course, poultry is one of the popular sections at the Port Elliot Show, which will be held in October.
