Director Nicole Ranson said shows like this provided students with a creative outlet outside of the boundaries of the curriculum.

"It is a chance to perform and learn new skills as well as build confidence and new friendships. Students work hard to bring a quality musical to stage that is engaging and entertaining," Ms Ranson said.

Legally Blonde JR is a fun, upbeat musical which follows the adventures of sorority girl Elle Woods - a Gemini with a double Capricorn moon - who tries to win her ex-boyfriend back by earning a Harvard law degree. Once at school, she is challenged by her peers, professors and her ex, but with the help of some new friends, Elle realises her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.
