ROUND 10 saw Tonkins Sports 334 points defeat Fleurieu Milk 227 points; Hamper Warehouse 304 points defeat Stanvac Korean Autoparts 291 points and in an excitingly close competition Victor Podiatry 328 points defeat OJ Computer 320 points.
Now approaching mid way through the season, Hamper Warehouse is the team in pole position, a full three games clear on top of the ladder.
The evening games were played last Tuesday week so as not to impact on a performing arts program held by Investigator College at their Performing Arts and Sports Centre, Victor Harbor Campus.
OJ Computers thrilled the spectators with three matches going into overtime against Victor Podiatry, with OJ Computers ultimately winning all three of those contests.
One of the singles games saw a nail-biting contest between Dale Sheriden, OJ Computers defeating Sam Traforti, Victor Podiatry 26 to 24.
There were some classy shuttle plays and footwork by both competitors, but Dale finally finished triumphantly over his rival Sam.
Closely contested doubles matches, however, saw Victor Podiatry win that round by a slim margin of eight points.
This was despite an exhilarating doubles win by Amanda Stevens and Dale Sheridan over Sam Traforti and Rong Jackson.
Tonkins Sport Grade A Doubles, comprising Lochlan Hodge, Shane Drummond, Jim Strachan, Emma Walker and Jodie East, won all of their five matches against Fleurieu Milk.
The game comprising Lochlan Hodge and Shayne Drummond for Tonkins Sports lining up against Harris Tan and Jacob Dougmore for Fleurieu Milk saw the match go into overtime with a victory to Tonkin's Sports of 22 points.
Harris Tan was later able to take his revenge out on Lochlan Hodge in their singles match with Harris victorious 21 points to Lochlans 16 points.
Closely equalising the singles games, however, saw Shanyne Drummond of Tonkins Sports defeat Jacob Dugmore of Fleurieu Milk 21 points to 19 points.
A similar experience was seen in the singles against Stanvac Korean Autoparts and Hamper Warehouse.
The agility and skill of Yulius Tejo Seputro for Hamper Warehouse again shinning through, defeating Mark Williamson 21 to 7 points.
The evening proved, yet again, that winning any game against a team with Yulius playing is a tough ask with Yulius's doubles matches winning all three games.
Future competitions at the Investigator College Victor Harbor Campus Performing Arts and Sports Centre will return to Thursdays.
Tuesday evenings will return to normal from 6pm to 9pm for social badminton.
