Lions auction could cancel

The Goolwa Lions Auctions commenced in late 1991. Thanks to their major fund-raising project, the Goolwa Lions Auction, it has donated over $110,000 to various local charities and community groups. This has included the Farmers' Drought Appeal, local sporting clubs and the local SES and CFS.

The club is now physically unable to continue with the Lions Auctions, due to health issues/problems of members. There is a need for the injection of youth to maintain the physical work of lifting the items on to trailers.

Regrettably, the Club has decided to suspend the Auctions for three months to October 15, following the next Auction on July 13. Please contact a Lions member if anyone, or any Group, has a long term solution for the continuation of the Lions Auctions after October 15, or the Goolwa Lions Club will have to cancel the Auctions.
