The George T Fisher Nature Playground project will be complete and open for the July school holidays.
The new nature playground is the result of a successful partnership between the City of Victor Harbor and the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure with grant funding of $220,000 received from the Planning and Development Fund Open Space Grant Program contributing to the cost of the $430,000 project.
To mark the occasion council will hold an official opening at the nature playground on Flinders Parade at 10am on Saturday, July 6.
On the day there will be the official opening from 10am, followed by a free sausage sizzle for the community to enjoy.
It is further good news for Victor Harbor with the Victor Harbor Horse Drawn Tram starting its operation on Sunday, June 22, after a six month stoppage.
