Events galore in Normanville for the school holidays

A number of fun-filled events are set to take place in Normanville over the forthcoming weeks.

Today at 1pm there will be a Social Sewing Afternoon. Two pre-owned sewing machines have recently been purchased so the public has an opportunity to join in while enjoying a chat and morning tea.

At 5pm Monday, July 15, the film 'Albatross' will be played at the Normanville Natural Resource Centre. Admission is free and is highly recommended to any bird enthusiasts or those who are interested in environmental conservation.

The film is PG and a great option for families looking to for school holiday activities.

On Friday, July 19, a Plastic Free July Stall will be stationed in the Normanville mall, with free produce bags for fruit and veggies being handed out to all who attend.

On Monday, July 22, a Greening The Fleurieu Coast Information Session will be starting at 2pm at the Normanville Natural Resource Centre. This is a fun, free program that is suited for all fitness levels and abilities.

On Thursday, July 25, a Plastic Free Morning Tea will be held at the Annie O'Connor Centre. This is a free presentation by the Fleurieu Waste Authority, giving the general public an opportunity to discuss ways for reducing single use plastics.

It will commence at 10.30am and even feature a plastic free raffle.

On Sunday, July 28, National Tree Planting Day will be taking place at Bungala Park, starting at 10.30am. This will provide locals with the chance to plant seedlings for species at risk.

A free hot lunch is also provided to all those who participate.

Lastly, on Friday, October 4, head down to the Natural Resource Centre and let your imagination run wild! Create a farm animal from recycled materials to be exhibited outside at the Yankalilla Show and win prizes.
