The Fleurieu community is invited to the Women's and Children's Hospital Foundation Beach House Open Day on Sunday July 21, from 1pm to 3pm. The Women's and Children's Hospital Foundation Beach House is located at 20 Central Drive, Victor Harbor.

The Beach House is South Australia's first purpose-built holiday home for families with children with complex medical needs or in palliative care. The community is welcomed to celebrate the opening of this extraordinary home, which has been made possible by generous South Australians. The Open Day comprises of two sessions; 1pm to 2pm and 2pm to 3pm.

When registering for the complimentary ticket, attendees will be asked to select their preferred session. Due to the Beach House's limited capacity, registrations are encouraged as soon as possible. Register at wchfoundation.org.au/beachhouseopenday

WCH Foundation Acting CEO Corinne Habel said there is an overwhelming sense of emotion seeing the Beach House open.

"The Foundation and the Hospital shared a vision of creating a very special place where families could spend treasured time together," she said.

"This project would not have been possible without the South Australian community who have donated so generously, especially Bella Build & Design."

"It means the world to these families that the community care about them."

"It is truly heart-warming to see the dedication and kindness."

The Beach House program will be run by the Foundation in consultation with the Hospital. The families' stays will be fully funded by the Foundation.
