Fire has caused about $100,000 worth of damage to a shed at Waitpinga.

Country Fire Service (CFS) and Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) crews were called to the fire on Butler Rise at 6.18pm on Wednesday, July 10.

A CFS spokesman said three CFS and two MFS trucks attended, where they found a shed five metres from a house ablaze.

"Crews were able to contain the fire to the shed and protect the nearby home," the spokesman said.

It is believed the fire caused about $100,000 worth of damage.

Fire cause investigators attended the property to examine the circumstances and find the cause.
