Southern Breakers senior teams travelled to Aldinga to take on the Sharks. Breakers A grade were missing some key players but started the match positively and soon found themselves 2 nil up with superb goals from Aaron Houghton and Rhyse Sinclair.

They continued their domination in the second half, with a well taken goal from young Jordan Sacaran. The Sharks managed to score but they were soon shut down by a fourth Breakers goal, with the match ending in a comprehensive 4-1 victory.

Having lost some players to the A grade, the B grade had to rely on some emerging talent from the junior ranks. For most of the first half, Breakers dominated, with good possession and passing. However, they soon found themselves 1 nil down due to a lapse in concentration.

They had opportunities to equalise with Mogsy hitting the post and Jones continiously taking on defenders. The highlight came in the second half with Jamie Warren coming from defense, taking on multiple players and finding himself one on one with the keeper. He calmly slotted the ball into the back of the net for a fantastic solo goal. Unfortunately, Breakers had to settle for one all draw.

Goalfest for U13 JSL Breakers

In the toughest weather conditions encountered this season, Southern Breakers U13 JSL's visited Adelaide Thunder. Heavy rain meant a very soggy pitch, however, showers held off from the starting whistle.

Within five minutes, Tay Parker scored the opener which was followed in quick succession with a goal from Adelaide. The ball spent little time in the centre, being quickly booted end to end. Parker scored again and in turn, Adelaide retaliated. Scores continued to increase goal for goal, with Jake Ashcroft next to hit the net before the break.

In the second half, Breakers came out firing with Jake Pawley providing speed and agility and Josh Schuette maintaining impressive defensive efforts. Daniel Sue was also valuable in preventing opposition scores.

Once goal scoring commenced, they came thick and fast, with one from the home team, followed by another by Parker. Pawley soon followed suit before Emmet Todd also netted one.

Adelaide Thunder finished the game with a goal, equalising the match to a final result of 7 apiece.

The U13 Breakers JSL side will take on third placed Raiders in their next match, on July 28 in Port Elliot at Breaker Park.
