The Victor Harbor Community Action Group (VHCAG) has a solid base of members who have come from all walks of life and care about the community they live in. The group will hold its Annual General Meeting at the Christian Gospel Centre on George Main Road at 7pm on Tuesday, August 20.
The VHCAG attends City of Victor Harbor council meetings and can be a voice on the many issues that confront ratepayers in Victor Harbor. The group was proactive in informing, along with council and the Fleurieu Regional Waste Authority on the changes to waste collection which commenced on July 1.
Nominations are now being called from members of the Victor Harbor Community Action Group to stand for committee. The vacant positions are Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and five committee members.
Nominations to fill the vacancies can be posted to the Returning Officer PO Box 1383, Victor Harbor, 5211 no later than 5pm on Tuesday, July, 23.
Nomination forms are available from the secretary, Telephone 0416 173 836 and are to be signed by a member and consented to by the nominee.
If more nominations are received than are required to fill the vacancies, an election by Ballot will be held as part of the meeting.
Business to arise at the AGM will include a report by the Chair, Barry Wright, treasurer's report, appointment of auditors, the election of members to the committee and any other business.
