On Saturday when Langhorne Creek take on Goolwa-Port Elliot, Brad McHughes will play his 250th senior game for the Hawks and earn himself life membership of the Langhorne Creek Football Club.

Brad began playing at the club way back in the early 1990's as a Mini Colt along with his twin brother Gavin.

During his junior years he was a key factor in the Hawks enjoying a period of success in the junior ranks after the club had struggled for a number of years. Brad played in the Mini Colts premiership in 1994 and also the back-to-back Senior Colts premierships in 2000 and 2001.

In total he played 150 colts games for the Hawks and won the Senior Colts Best & Fairest in 2000. Over his senior playing career, Brad has developed a reputation for being a tough and skilful on-baller who enjoys slipping forward for a goal!

He has a innate ability to read the play and always seems to find himself in the right position. Brad has been an integral member of the Hawks Reserves team as reflected by being a four time winner of the Reserve Grade Best & Fairest award (2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017) and a premiership player in 2006.
