Victor Harbor is playing finals in 2019 and on Saturday ventured to Myponga Oval to play the winless Myponga/Sellicks.

The Roos were shocked in the first term by the toughness and enthusiasm of the young Mudlark team.

In fact, due to the efforts of Hill, Ogilvie, Kempster, Spinks and James Hutchinson, the Mudlarks led at the first change by two points.

In the second term, Victor Harbor had its running game going and utilising the big spaces of Myponga Oval.

Weetra, Hewett and Wade were the catalysts for the Roos as they kicked five goals to one to lead at half time by 25 points. In the last half it was all Victor Harbor as they careered away with the match.

Sam Basham, who has been in dynamic form for Victor Harbor in 2019 was combining well with Davey in the forward lines and Alleway was his usual hard working self. Myponga/Sellicks had no answers, but credit to Hill and Ogilvie who refused to give in.

In the last half Victor Harbor kicked 14 goals to the Mudlarks one to run out convincing winners by 108 points.

Best for Victor were Basham (six goals), Davey (five goals), Weetra, Wade and Hewett. For the Mudlarks, youngsters Jake Spinks and James Hutchinson are the future for the club with great efforts.
