A partnership between the Friends of the Victor Harbor Library and the University of the Third Age (U3A) South Coast branch has resulted in an extensive exhibition of photographs.

Hanging in the library are 65 photos by 16 locals who are part of U3A's Shutterbugs photography group, with a variety of subjects featured.

Many of the photographs are taken on the Fleurieu and some are for sale.

Shutterbugs group leader Kaylene Maalste said it was the first time the group had been involved in an exhibition.

"To me, I get to see the members' photography getting to a quality where I felt they were due for an exhibition, to show what they are capable of doing," she said.

"For a majority of members, it is their first exhibition."

It was celebrated with an official opening on Monday, August 5.

The exhibition is open 9.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12noon until its last day on Thursday, August 15.
