Emergency services's team effort to rescue injured man at Port Elliot on Fleurieu Peninsula

Police, paramedics and State Emergency Service volunteers worked together to help a man who injured his leg on rocks at Port Elliot.

The man, aged in his 30s, had been climbing over rocks with his partner and two children on Saturday, August 10 when a wave knocked him over.

His leg was injured in the incident and emergency services were called at about 1.30pm to retrieve him.

A team effort by the emergency services saw people power used to rescue him and carry him to safety.

The man was transported to South Coast District Hospital to have his minor injuries treated.
