Lighthouse turns to canvas

Cape Jervis Lighthouse will be turned into a huge canvas for Myponga Primary School and Yankalilla Area School students to display their art on. The artworks will be projected onto the lighthouse for one night only, from 6pm to 7.30pm on August 28, as part of the Travelling Light Illumination Projection Art Tour.

It is designed to be a way for locals to enjoy their heritage and art as a community.

The tour is part of the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival, which runs annually throughout August.

Bring a deck chair and blanket, and rug up to see local youths' work light up the lighthouse.

Entry is free, with gourmet hamburgers, Little Junk Street coffee, and desserts by the Community Club available for purchase.

The event is supported by the Cape Jervis Progress Association.
