ShedBoss Fleurieu was established by David and Susanne Schubert in Victor Harbor in 2005 as a family business committed to custom designing and building high-quality, affordable sheds, barns, commercial, industrial and various other steel buildings.
While ShedBoss is locally-owned-and-operated, it is part of a much bigger family too.
The ShedBoss brand has the backing of Stramit and Fletcher Building, which owns some of Australia's most well-known building product brands like Laminex, Tradelink and Oliveri.
The Schuberts' son Michael started with ShedBoss in 2010 and purchased the business last year.
The team now includes managing director Michael, design and construction manager Jim, projects manager Tina, business manager Narelle, construction team Scott, Nick and Kane, concreting team Di and Shaun and earthmover Geoff.
As a local, licensed builder, ShedBoss Fleurieu can custom design and build sheds, carports or barns for your business or home.
ShedBoss only uses Colorbond and Australian BlueScope steel for all the structural components of its buildings.
Michael said there were many advantages to having one company involved with your building project from start to finish.
"First and foremost, working with ShedBoss means doing away with the stress and time consumption that comes from working with multiple organisations for different steps in the building process," he said.
"For your peace of mind, our written contract includes the materials, concrete and construction of your project. The confusion that can come with working with different building companies is a non-issue, as you'll only be dealing with us from design to construction.
"You'll be kept informed of the progress of your project every step of the way.
"Most importantly, you'll deal with a local shed builder who genuinely cares about your project and offers unequalled professionalism and customer service, on time and to budget."
Michael and the team are pleased to discuss the latest trends and shed technology with their customers.
"The skillion roof is an ideal choice for a contemporary, industrial chic-styled residential shed," Michael said.
"It has gained popularity in Australia as a design feature in its own right, evoking rural and industrial themes.
"Our new skillion range is available in a wide range of Colorbond steel colours, and the flat-angled roof shape gives it a very stylish, edgy look that is a better match to modern houses.
"Skillion roofs can be effectively paired with solar panels to utilise the maximum roof space for solar collection."
Meanwhile, Michael said those looking to buy a shed should seek advice from a licensed and insured builder who was ShedSafe-accredited: "ShedSafe is a new industry benchmark for Australian manufactured steel sheds. It is an independent accreditation program designed to assist shed buyers in making an informed purchase decision.
"ShedSafe accreditation means that both the shed manufacturer and seller are committed to ensuring sheds meet Australian Standards and are the best fit for your site and circumstances."
A community-minded enterprise, ShedBoss sponsors BackPacks 4 Kids SA, which contributes to the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people during periods of dislocation from home and routine care.
They are also a long-term sponsor of the Rotary Art Show.
