The Breakers Under 13 JSL side faced off against Plympton in a scrappy affair on Sunday and were hard at it from the get-go. Schuette showed exceptional skill in defence, halting many attacking forays, while Jay Dyer provided in the midfield. Ryan was challenged throughout, often being double-teamed.

An outstanding catch by goalkeeper Hastings, kept out an early goal, before Yeoward continued his scoring run, hitting the back of the net before the half time whistle.

The rain pelted down in the second half and the first goal was scored by Plympton, while the Breakers struggled to convert, despite ample opportunities. Ashcroft had plenty of the ball forward, while North had Plympton ducking out the way of his thumping passes.

The Dog's defence remained resolute however, and they struck home on the counter with two more quick goals, before the Breakers managed to get one back, again through Yeoward.

At the final whistle, Breakers were down 3-2.
