Mount Compass put paid to Victor Harbor's fairy tale ride into the finals with an eight goal third term and hung on to win by 25 points.

Trailing at half time, the Bulldogs showed why they are a team to be respected for four quarters by running away with the win and twin forwards Pinyon and Ziggy Vitkunas booting a miraculous 14 goals between them.

The pair kicked 14 of Mount Compass' 17 goals and there is a clear message for their opponent in this week's Preliminary Final, stop them and you stop the Dogs.

Mount Compass will meet Willunga, who lost a dour tussle in the Second Semi Final against Langhorne Creek.

What team is going to stop the Hawks from winning two in a row?

Both the Demons and Dogs are capable and this will be an absorbing Preliminary Final to see who will earn the right. There are no weak links in either side.

Unlike the First Semi Final, everyone hopes the umpires will put the whistle away and let the teams play football.

Hoban v Bass will be fantastic. Last week Hoban gave Hunter and Copestick silver service and their drive out of the middle gave Vitkunas and Pinyon the opportunity to have their defender one on one.

Willunga coach Mitch Portlock will be weighing up his defensive options on who will get the tough tasks of minding the Dogs' twin goal kicking towers.

McDonald, Collier and Ficken are the best options, but if either Pinyon or Vitkunas get off the chain, watch for the move of Haskett to curb one of the attacking giants.

Portlock will be reluctant to make that move, as Haskett has been very consistent for the Demons in the mid-field in 2019.

Ruddock, Camac, the Corbett brothers, Ritter, Scudds, Hoban and Tom Vitkunas complement a very well balanced Mount Compass unit.

Willunga are not light on goal scoring options either, with Cook, Hunt, Standfield, Burdett and Altus being able to hit the scoreboard. Miegel, Beath, Nelson, Lee, Brown, Hutchens and Renney will win their share of the football and of course there are two of the great GSFL defenders in Alexopoulos and Paterson who know how to win finals.

This match will have everything and after extra time has been played it will be the Demons who will prevail to meet the Hawks in the 2019 GSFL Grand Final.

Kiss Of Death - Willunga by 3 points.
