Cookery books will the focus of attention at the Fleurieu Antiques and Collectables meeting on Sunday, November 10, at Carrickalinga House.
Guest presenter Allison Reynolds is a cookery historian and the author of Anzac Biscuits: the power and spirit of an everyday national icon.
When doing research for her book, she found original recipes from Australia and New Zealand at the time of World War I did not contain coconut.
She says she was intrigued by the question, "Who put the coconut into the Anzac Biscuit?"
She will answer that question at the meeting on Sunday, as well as discussing collecting antique and vintage cookery books.
Signed copies of her book will be available for sale.
