Wineries score state grants to boost international exports

Three wineries on the Fleurieu Peninsula will share in $75,000 in grant funding to boost exports into key international markets.

Bleasdale Vineyards, Haselgrove Wines and Mr Riggs Wine Company are three of 14 South Australian companies to receive money through the state government's South Australia Export Accelerator (SAEA) program.

The program is designed to assist businesses to export for the first time, enter into new markets or to grow their international exports.

Haselgrove Vineyards, at McLaren Flat, and Mr Riggs Wine Company, at McLaren Vale, will both receive $30,000, while Bleasdale Vineyard, at Langhorne Creek, will get $15,000 through the Export Accelerator Category of the grants.

Acting Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment David Pisoni congratulated the recipients and wished them well in "taking South Australian produce and innovation to the world".

"As well as entering new markets, this funding helps companies grow their workforce, as well as enhancing our economic prosperity by creating pathways for local companies to generate two-way trade opportunities," Mr Pisoni said.
