Victor Harbor's Adare Church is gearing up to host its famed annual summer garage sale, with a slew of bargains on offer from 7:30am on Saturday, January 11 at Adare Uniting Church, the Drive McCracken.
If past years are anything to go by, Adare's garage sale is one not to miss for those who love chasing a bargain.
Event organiser, Pauline Read said lots of items had already been collected, sorted and priced by a team of hard working volunteers in the weeks leading up to the sale.
"Added to that will be all the items which will arrive on January 8 and 9," she said.
"Even if you don't want to buy anything there is a wonderful BBQ which starts early with egg and bacon sandwiches and then moves to sausages and onions. If you prefer inside in the church hall there will be a Devonshire morning tea."
A range of items will be on sale ranging from crockery to electrical, to paintings, manchester, books, DVDs, jewellery and a wonderful array of toys.
Plants will also feature again this year, after a positive response to their offering in January 2019.
"The plant sale proved very popular last year," said Pauline.
"Of course there will also be cakes, jams, slices and other home-made goodies."
A regular feature of the event is Eric Richardson and his stamps for sale, advice and general interest to all philatelists.
Over the years, many a bargain has been acquired at Adare's garage sale from bikes, golf clubs, prams, and tools, and items too numerous to mention.
Stroll through the many stalls and then relax with scones and morning tea or take home your lunch of sausages in bread.
