All communities are doing their best to throw their support behind fire ravaged areas of the country.
In Victor Harbor there is a group who have arranged a quiz night, in conjunction with the Red Cross, for the victims of the fires. All monies raised will be given to the local Red Cross branch.
The event will be held on Friday, January 31, at the Encounter Bay Football Clubrooms from 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
The cost is $10 per person and the event will cater for tables of eight to ten or individual bookings are more than welcome.
The MC for the evening is the ever popular Ken Carter with questions by Peter Lewis, who never seems to stop giving for the community of the Fleurieu and any community in need.
"There will be a raffle run on the night and a prize for winning team. I hope many will attend to support this great cause," Mr Lewis said.

Also at the Encounter Bay Football Club another fundraiser is being held by the Encounter Bay Netball Cricket and Football Clubs in support of the fire affected Western Districts Sports Club on Kangaroo Island.
The Quiz Night will be held on Friday, January 24, at 7pm, at $10 per person for tables of 10.
BYO Nibbles / Supper with bar facilities available.
