Bridgestone Super Triples: Perfect conditions greeted the 108 bowlers for the Swan's Pharmacy sponsored event. Pennant: In Thursday's action, the top side's only highlight against Port Elliot was the win to Lyn Thatcher's rink with a 10 shot margin. The two points were enough to ensure a tilt at top side Goolwa in the finals race. In Div 2, Aldinga Bay outclassed Victor Harbor on two rinks. A 17 all draw to Val Secomb's four salvaged a point for the side. The two sides will meet again in the first week of the finals. In Div 3, a good win to Di Hoppo's rink by 14 shots resulted in a win and eight points. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to gain a final's berth.
Night Owls: Three teams, Shaftettes, Winners and Power all won 10 ends to fight it out for top spot. The Shaftettes took out the night sponsored by RAA and Bridgestone Tyres with a 17 shot win. With two divisions now in operation, games are much tighter and the race for top spot in each division is hotting up.

Jenny Collett and June Halstead's teams had closely fought matches but couldn't quite get the last shots unfortunately. That loss dropped the team to fifth on the ladder from third, which means they will unfortunately miss finals. Div 2 also went down 54 - 66, but gained two points, keeping them at seventh on the table, with Dot Birt's team having a good win.
The Thursday Pennant end of season dinner was held at The Range Restaurant at Mount Compass and the President thanked chair of selectors, Kathy Clarke and selectors Anne Weber and Josie Hughes for their effort this season. Also thanked were umpires, measures and Irene Davies.

Wednesday Women's Super Pairs: With the end of season approaching, and only one more month for teams to add to cumulative scores, competition was keen. All local clubs were well represented. Thursday Pennant Competition went well for PEBC. Div 1 Played a winning game at home against Victor Harbor (53-49) which brought about a climb on the ladder into fourth position and a spot in the qualifying final, at Goolwa to be held on February 20.
Div 2 Were away at Langhorne Creek and arrived to find the grass wet with dew. This didn't bode well for the outcome PEBC needed. The team needed a win to retain first position and earn a home game in the qualifying final. They opted to wait for the greenkeeper to arrive and to prepare the green, and then went out determined to play well, and they did! - a draw (J.Cruise 15-15), a good win (H. Edwards 28-14) with sufficient score to cover a loss (L.Fox 13-24). Overall score PEBC 56 - Langhorne Creek 53) earning nine points to confirm first position on the ladder and the Div 2 Minor Premiership. An added plus is a home game in the upcoming qualifying final.
Div 3 Played a very close game at home against Goolwa, losing by just one shot (42-43) C.Brindal 20-13, I.Hurren 22-30. The side has retained fourth position on the ladder, and look forward to competing in the qualifying final at Yankalilla.
A good number of spectators turned out for the Club Championships Men's Singles Final on Saturday, with John Deal playing Chris Monk. Both men are excellent draw bowlers, and the game was very competitive with end after end, one man holding close shot, and the other man wresting that shot out and replacing with his own bowl. A great game which was eventually won by Chris Monk 26 - 18, who was proclaimed PEBC 2020 Men's Singles Champion.
