Myponga Bowling Club's 2020 lady's champion pair - Erica Hutchinson and Beryl Magor - have made it to the GSBA 2020 Grand Final, after defeating Yankalilla and hot shot favourites Victor Harbor.

In this do-or-die match, Erica was pitted against a familiar rival - her sister, Sandra Nash.

The showdown was highly competitive and underdogs Erica and Beryl were on fire from the get go, with the bit between their teeth.

The Grand Final date will be determined soon, and all at the Myponga Bowling Club are keenly anticipating another entertaining match.

The club are hoping another large cheer squad will attend to provide support.

In other news, the Myponga President's Day, held on Monday February 10, was filled to capacity thanks to the work of many hardworking volunteers at the club.

The event was sponsored by the Fleurieu Milk Company and although having an exceptionally busy day, general manager Nick Hutchinson succeeded in attending to present his prizes for all place getters and also to donate many yoghurts for the monster raffle.

His efforts and the support of Fleurieu Milk are most appreciated by all at the club.

A place getter mentioned in his speech that Myponga has the enviable reputation of a guaranteed fun day, with excellent food and companionship.

The club pride themselves on this friendliness, a relaxed and social atmosphere and a sense of humour and camaraderie among visiting competitors as well as local members.
