Australian author John Marsden has made a visit to Willunga High School, using the opportunity to present a workshop to the schools current Year 12 students.

The author of the adapted-to-television book Tomorrow, When the War Begin and The Tomorrow series and, The Ellie Series, John Marsden has enjoyed a writing career spanning over 30 years.

Willunga High School English Leader, Alexandra Price said the visit by Marsden provided a great opportunity for students to learn the craft of writing from an iconic Australian author and educator.

"This has been a once in a lifetime opportunity for students and staff to take on the advice of a literary legend and translate this into their own writing," she said.

The students were thankful to Mr Marsden for generating his time to the class, teaching them much about the craft of writing.
