Goolwa and Strathalbyn libraries launch click and collect services

Alexandrina Council is set to launch click and collect services at its Goolwa and Strathalbyn libraries as of next week, as part of ongoing service updates in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kicking off from Monday, May 18, a 'Click & Collect' service will begin operations, running from 10am-4pm, Monday to Friday.

The Goolwa Library will also launch a new short-term premises, at the rear of Centenary Hall on Dawson Street, Goolwa to enable click and collect only.

Strathalbyn Library will remain open, with limited services on offer.

Customers will also be able to access their existing on hold items and place new items on hold via the OneCard Network for collection on arrival.

Social distancing measures will remain in place and restrictions differ at each library.

They are as follows:

Goolwa:

  • Limited to two patrons at any one time (excluding staff)
  • Ability to only collect items through the "Click & Collect" process
  • Social distancing measures will be in place with markers on the floor and staff triage on entry
  • Record keeping of patrons when entering the building
  • No Public PC usage
  • Regular environmental disinfection cleaning of the premises.

Strathalbyn:

  • Limited to 10 patrons at any one time (excluding staff)
  • Ability to only borrow or collect items from the Library Service
  • Ability to access council services or make a cashless payment
  • Social distancing measures will be in place with markers on the floor and staff triage on entry
  • Record keeping of patrons when entering the building
  • A Limit of 15 minutes per person will be encouraged
  • No Public PC usage
  • Regular environmental disinfection cleaning of the premises.

Library and customer services will remain closed on weekends.

The Mount Compass Library Kiosk will also open for online click and collect from May 18, while the Port Elliot and Milang Libraries remain closed until further notice.
